Her first roles on television included two episodes on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. Perry made her debut in New York after graduation, performing in minor role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry come back to California to work as an actress in the theater. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. In 2015, she was a part of her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry starred in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on ABC's thriller about politics Scandal in which her father was the main character. In the same year, the actress was selected to play a young model of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger character of her mom's character. The character was chosen through an audition, even having a strong relationship with the show.
