Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. She was born to Peter Silk, who was a professor at the University of New Brunswick, as well as Ilkay, a playwright and director. She was also known for her acting. Anna recalls some of her earliest memories of existence when she would go to see her mother in rehearsals for plays. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials when she was just a child. She was in 1997 when she earned her bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 when they met at an actor'sWorkshop held located in Los Angeles. They were married in an official ceremony on December 10th, 2009 after they became engaged. The couple got married in Fredericton the 10th of April in 2011, after her conversion to Judaism they exchanged vows in the Jewish marriage ceremony.
