Ina-Garten
Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has won Emmy Awards. She is the host of the longest-running Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa. The show began in 2002. It is scheduled to air for another 27 seasons. Ina began working in the White House as a writer of nuclear energy policies and also the budget. While she found it interesting initially, she eventually dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. After selling the store, she spent more than 18 years building it to an extremely successful business. Many other cookbooks and magazine columns came later. Another hit is her Food Network Television show. The company sells numerous items, from the ingredients needed for food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina did not go to an institution for cooking or was she employed in a restaurant. She is entirely self-taught. Ina is known for her relaxed way of making food and hosting. Her most famous recipes are Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
