Ina Garten, an American author of cookbooks on cooking and Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's longest-running program Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002, has 27 seasons till 2020. Ina began writing policy and nuclear energy documents for the White House. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual stimulation of her job, but quickly stopped her the interest. Instead, she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. It took her 18 years to make the shop wildly successful, before she sold it. She then began to write her first cookbook. Several other books and newspaper articles were published. Another hit was the Food Network Television show. She also sells all kinds of cooking equipment, items and even containers. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself that hasn't gone to a cooking academy or worked in an kitchen. Her relaxed approach to entertaining as well as her simple cooking style are well known. The most well-known recipes include Skillet - Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and Cheese, Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese, Beatty's Chocolate Cake as well as Lemon Bars.
